For the 3rd time this year, Delta rallied its troops in support of an internal food collection for the benefit of the local community. A food collection point or “food-bank” was set up in the main reception area week commencing 29th September and staff were encouraged to donate whatever long-life food items they could. At the end of the week the food was bagged up and delivered to a local Storehouse donation point in Belfast.

There was a total of 126 items donated by Delta staff in the week including rice, pasta, tinned fruit/veg/fish/meats/beans, porridge and UHT Milk.

We would like to thank all Delta staff who very generously donated to the collection and we know that our donation will go a long way to helping those families in our local community who are most in need at this time of year.

Delta Packaging Chairman, Terry Cross, said:

“We are very much aware of the role we play in supporting our local community in whatever way we can. The fact that our staff have volunteered to carry out this food collection and show their generosity for a very worthwhile cause is a reflection of the culture that exists at Delta Packaging. We are very proud to support Storehouse NI and hope that this small act of generosity from the staff at Delta Packaging will go a long way for those who need it the most.”

Delta Packaging will be holding another food collection week at the start of December to show its support for Storehouse in the run-up to Christmas when families are in most need of our generosity.
