Delta Christmas Donation to NI Hospice & Welcome Centre

Delta recently announced its support for NI Hospice as its chosen charity for 2014/15. In December, Delta staff organised a Christmas clothes, toys, books and DVD collection week which proved to be a massive success. All items collected at Delta were donated to NI Hospice to support fundraising activities in their Charity Shops ahead of the busy Christmas period.

Among the items collected were 6 boxes of books, 2 boxes of DVD’s, 14 boxes of clothes and 4 boxes of toys – a very generous and superb effort by Delta staff, which was well-received by NI Hospice.

Additionally, in December, Delta Packaging made a financial contribution and donated 20 brand new sleeping bags and 20 pairs of gloves to the Welcome Centre in Belfast, to support the homeless in the run-up to Christmas. Colm Bradley, Managing Director, Delta Packaging Ltd, commented:

“The plight of homelessness on the streets of Belfast City Centre, in particular, is getting worse and that is clear for all to see. As the cold, winter nights set in, it is important for responsible businesses like ours to step forward and make a small gesture that will go a very long way to helping those individuals who have very little at this time of year. Delta Packaging has always supported local community groups and charities, but it is important, not to forget about the individuals who might not have that support network behind them.”
